The tea drying room can mainly be applied to various forms of materials such as green tea, black tea, black tea, etc., and there are different drying technology solutions according to the classification of materials. Black tea and black tea belong to fermented teas, while the production and drying process of green tea is different. The simpler steps for drying green tea are picking, withering, rolling, and drying.

Drying operation steps for tea drying room:

Drying and withering process: Use hot air at 65-75 degrees Celsius to maintain temperature for 2-3 hours for withering.

The main purpose of drying green tea is to remove moisture from the ingredients, allowing for long-term storage and shaping, fully unleashing the tea aroma. There are generally three drying methods for processing green tea: drying, stir frying, and sun drying. The drying process of green tea usually involves first drying and then stir frying. Due to the high moisture content of rolled tea leaves, if they are directly stir fried and dried, they will quickly form clumps in the pan of the drying room, and the tea leaves are prone to sticking to the pot wall, affecting the taste and appearance. So, tea needs to be dried first to reduce its moisture content to meet the requirements for frying in a pot. To dry tea leaves, we usually use low-temperature drying. This operation is to maintain the tea polyphenols in green tea and prevent them from being lost due to excessive temperature. The drying and moisture removal rate should be below 40%. After drying, cool to room temperature before stir frying.

Place the tea leaves in the designed drying room, connect the heat pump to the drying room, and after heating by the heat pump, use a fan to continuously deliver the set heat source to the drying room, thereby continuously evaporating the moisture in the tea leaves. After closing the door, not only can it keep warm, but it can also isolate external pollution, ensuring that the finished tea leaves are clean enough.

In the drying process of tea, it is important to pay attention to the “three-stage baking”. That is to say, the entire process is divided into three stages according to the changes in tea leaves, namely yellowing, coloring, and drying. The temperature required for different stages varies greatly, so in order to bake high-quality tea leaves, it is necessary to accurately control the temperature and humidity changes during the drying process.
